John has practised law for over 30 years since graduating from the University of Melbourne. During that time John gained experience and enjoyed success at some of Melbourne’s leading law firms before establishing his own legal practice in Burgundy Street, Heidelberg in 1993.

He has since built a successful and dynamic law firm and receives referrals from a wide variety of fellow professionals including accountants, financial planners, barristers and other legal offices.John provides his clients with representation that is skilled and pragmatic whilst utilizing his extensive academic and practical experience to ensure that his client’s interests are protected and valued and that they are able to move forward with confidence.

John is an active member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Northern Suburbs Law Association.
Outside of work, John enjoys spending time on the Mornington Peninsula with family and friends and maintaining an active lifestyle.

 

 

Kathryn

Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts (Legal Studies), Graduate Diploma in Business Studies and a Diploma of Education (Secondary). She previously gained valuable legal industry experience accepting a role in the Young Lawyers Section at the Law Institute of Victoria before becoming the firm’s Business Manager.

Kathryn is responsible for the firm’s day to day operations and financial management including client management, firm marketing, managing staff training and development and ensuring that the firm’s lawyers are able to utilise the resources available to them efficiently.Kathryn has a keen interest in health and fitness, enjoys cooking, running & spending time with family & friends.

 

 

Nicholas

Nicholas graduated from La Trobe University in Melbourne in 2009 with a Bachelor of Laws Degree. He also holds a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Centre for Law and has been admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia.He began his legal career working in a Melbourne based commercial law firm before joining JPLegal in 2011.

Nicholas has gained a wealth of experience in the area of Family & Relationship Law including representing client’s in complex property settlements involving the division of corporate structures and significant property holdings. He has acted in a broad range of family law matters with both parenting and property issues, including matters involving third parties to proceedings, superannuation splitting and family trusts.

Nicholas is a member of the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and Northern Suburbs Law Association.
His interests include cycling, boating and supporting the Geelong Football Club.

 

 

Amanda

Amanda holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Following her graduation in 2010, Amanda travelled to Australia and quickly fell in love with the country. In 2013, Amanda completed a conversion to Australian law at Monash University, Melbourne and was awarded the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Amanda was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in September 2014.

During her studies at Monash University, Amanda participated in the Law Faculty’s barrister shadowing program from which she secured a position working as a legal research assistant. At JPLegal, Amanda has represented client’s in a wide range of conveyancing and property transactions.

Amanda is a member of the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Northern Suburbs Law Association.

Her interests include experimenting with her Thermomix, walking through Heidelberg’s parklands and spending time socialising with friends.

 

 

Vanessa

Vanessa joined JPLegal in 2015. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from RMIT University before obtaining her Bachelor of Laws degree from La Trobe University. She then completed her Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2015. Her areas of practice include estates and probate matters, victims of crime applications and she assists with family law and conveyancing. Further, she volunteers her time to the Salvation Army to assist in the Community Wills program.Vanessa is a member of the Northern Suburbs Law Association and the Young Lawyers Section of the Law Institute of Victoria.

In her spare time, Vanessa enjoys skiing, tennis and travelling.
