I wish all of our clients and business partners a safe and prosperous new year. During this time, it is important to reflect on the progress made in 2016 but also to look ahead to the new year and set new goals. I am particularly interested in the continued positive change in which Heidelberg is experiencing with increased development and business activity.
I look forward to JPLegal’s continued growth whilst providing our valued client’s with the highest level of service which they have come to expect from us.
In 2017, I look forward to continuing our progressive approach in developing our office systems to improve our efficiency and effectiveness. Next year, we will introduce Perfect Portal, a centralised hub for conveyancing where our lawyers, staff, real estate agents & clients can interact during the transaction on the one site.
2016 was our most successful and rewarding year yet. We continued to expand our referral networks and advance our efficiency in providing timely and cost effective value based advice and representation for all of our clients. I particularly enjoyed working with our staff in a team oriented environment to produce satisfying results for our clients.
We look forward to continuing this in 2017 after a short break over the new year period.
Next year I am looking forward to continuing our journey in the online landscape, as well as encouraging our colleagues and referral partners in the profession to join in these innovative new practices which we feel will benefit our clients and referral partners alike. We will be utilising a new program called Law Connect, an interactive file sharing system for legal matters. This allows us to upload documents to a cloud-based system for clients to view, interact with, and provide their further instructions.
This year I have enjoyed working with charities and supporting the local community and in particular, working with the Salvation Army at their Community Wills events. These events are community service days organised and run by the Salvation Army where lawyers volunteer to prepare Wills for members of the local community in return for a donation to the Salvation Army. Significant funds were raised at the Preston Community Wills Day where I volunteered with other lawyers. There were a total of 140 Wills drawn up and the donations were put towards ongoing community support work within the City of Darebin.
